Emma & Alec
I have to be honest with you… this one started with a Facebook post.
I was scrolling, minding my own business, when I saw it: a couple looking for a photographer with less than 48 hours’ notice. Something made me stop. Something made me comment. And just like that, I was booked for one of the most genuinely joyful weddings I have ever had the privilege of shooting.
Oh, and her name is Emma. My name is Emma. I mean- come on. If that's not an invisible string pulling two people together, I don't know what is.
Emma and Alec had already made it official the way that felt right for them. A quiet courthouse ceremony, just the two of them, locking it in. But what happened next was the real party. They gathered their people and celebrated the way every love story deserves to be celebrated: loudly, joyfully, and surrounded by everyone who shows up for you, not just on the good days, but always.
And their people? They showed up. The energy in that room was something I still think about. You could feel how loved Emma and Alec are, and how much love they pour right back.
There was a moment during portraits when Bella, Emma's daughter, joined them. And I'll just say this: some frames don't need a caption. They speak for themselves.
I walked away from this wedding with some of my absolute favorite photos I have ever taken. No exaggeration. There was something about Emma and Alec that made every single shot feel alive and full of love. Maybe it was the joy, maybe it was the chaos-turned-magic of how it all came together, or maybe it really was just written in the stars.
Whatever it was, I am so grateful I stopped scrolling that day.
Emma & Alec, thank you for letting this Emma be your Emma. It was truly an honor getting to capture your celebration last August.
Emma and Alec, I truly still can’t believe this started with a Facebook post. And these photos… I mean it when I say they are some of the absolute favorites I have ever taken. Something about your day just clicked in the most beautiful way.
Maybe it was the joy. Maybe it was the magic of how it all fell into place. Or maybe… just maybe… it's because your photographer's name is also Emma, and some things really are just meant to be.
Thank you for letting me be part of your story. It was one for the books.
XOXO,
