We’re Drew Dzurko and Emma Vitallo, partners in life and photography. Lumen Photography Studios is named after our curious cat, Lumen, who also happens to be our live-in art critic.

Based in the suburbs of Chicago, we capture meaningful moments with care, honesty, and a love for beautiful light. Whether it’s a wedding, a quiet portrait, or everyday magic, we’re here to tell your story with heart (and Lumen’s approval).

We couldn’t be happier with how our event photos turned out, and she captured the love and beauty of my wife and I’s love journey so magically. We were and still are obsessed with the photos.

    The way Emma was engaging throughout the event and truly immersed herself in what we were envisioning would be enough to warrant a 5 star rating. Add in the fact that our original photographer cancelled on us 2 days before our wedding, and Emma was there for us in a moments notice to save the day. We were panicking and searching far and wide for someone who could step in last second to capture the most special day for us…enter in Emma. She literally jumped in and saved our day, despite having never worked with us in the past. That in itself is worth more than a 5 star rating, and she truly exceed our wildest expectations.
