If you have been following along, you might recognize these two!!
Back in March, we tucked ourselves into the quiet grounds of Cantigny Park and watched Sheldon get down on one knee. We were there for that perfect, breathtaking moment, and we have been rooting for Lexi and Sheldon ever since.
So when they asked us to come back and document their celebration, there was not a single hesitation.
Lexi and Sheldon did things their way from the very beginning. They eloped, made it official on their own terms, and then threw open the doors of Whitetail Ridge Golf Club and said come celebrate with us. And their people showed up ready to do exactly that.
The night was everything. Loud and warm and full of laughter, the kind of family-forward celebration. The dance floor was a vibe. The joy was never quiet. And Lexi and Sheldon were right in the middle of all of it, soaking up every single second.
There is something really special about photographing a couple you already have history with. Knowing where they started, being there for the proposal, and then getting to stand in that room and watch them celebrate with everyone they love, it does not get much better than that.
Sheldon, from elementary school playgrounds to this. We are so proud of you. Lexi, we are so glad you said yes! Cheers to the Blackamores.
Lexi and Sheldon, getting to be there for both the proposal and the celebration is something we will never take for granted. From Cantigny in March to the dance floor at Whitetail Ridge in September, what a year it has been watching your love story unfold. Thank you for keeping us in it. Congratulations, you two!!
